No Poverty

No Poverty
UofG Sport is committed in doing our part to reduce poverty by providing opportunities to local young people through sport, promoting student led initiatives and bringing our community together to collect and donate to local foodbanks.

Promoting student led initiatives
UofG Sport is proud to support our GUSA clubs to promote, raise awareness and use our facilities for fundraising events throughout the academic year. Our students play a key role in tackling inequality, working directly with charities and organisations from the local area to promote and fundraise for great causes.
We're always open to supporting our GUSA clubs and their goals & initiatives, if your club would like to host a fundraising event then please get in touch using the email address below!

GUEST Eco-Hub
UofG Sport is working collaboratively with UofG GUEST, donating items of clothing and sports equipment to the Student2Student Essentials Initiative which aims to save students money whilst preventing excessive waste on campus. All items will be offered to students for free in September.

Supporting Local Foodbanks
Throughout the year, UofG Sport collect donations from our community to donate to local food banks. We feel that together, we can create a more just society where everyone can afford essentials and no one needs to use a food bank.
